How to be Saved

In Acts 16:30, A man asked Paul the most important question that a person can ask, “What must I do to be saved?”  Many people answer this question in many different ways, but what does the Bible say about it?

You Are A Sinner

There is none righteous, no, not one…for there is no difference…For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.(Romans 3:10,22,23)  All we like sheep have gone astray... (Isaiah 53:6)  The Bible says that you are a sinner.  So is your preacher, priest, rabbi, your mother, father and grandmother…All have sinned.

You Are Going To Die

And as it is appointed unto men once to die… (Hebrews 9:27)  Then said Jesus again unto them (the Pharisees), I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins. (John 3:21)  He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. (Proverbs 29:1)  Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Proverbs  27:1)  But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee...(Luke 12:20a)

You Will Face Judgment

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement. (Hebrews 9:27)  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (Acts 17:31)  So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.(Romans 14:12)

You will face judgment as either a lost man or a saved man.

LOST

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.  (Revelation 20:15)

SAVED

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. (Romans 14:10)

You Can Be Saved

The Gospel is…how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:  (1 Corinthians 15:3b & 4)  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.  (Isaiah 53:5-6)  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (1 Peter 3:18)

Dear Friend, the Lord Jesus Christ paid your sin debt on the cross of Calvary nearly two thousand years ago.  You deserve to die and go to hell for your sins, but God’s only begotten Son Jesus took your place when he shed his blood on the cross of Calvary.  Won’t you receive him as your Saviour today?

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  (John 1:12) …Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:30 &31)  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) …behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2) Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:21)
