Good morning brethren
When Paul spoke to the church of Corinth concerning the matter of the Spiritual Significance of one member of the body of Christ being recognized as more significant than others when it comes to "Bringing people to Christ", he gave this response : " For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building."
The right attitude for us all concerning the Ministry is given here in the text, This is God's ministry, we are Workers Together ; no doubt that some are going to work harder than others (but they shall receive the reward for it), but all and all, it is God and the Spirit that Converts the Sinner and makes him a member of the body of Christ. Our attitude about ourselves is to be as described in verses 5-7 : " Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase." He sums it up in the first part of verse 9, " For we are labourers together with God:"
I believe that we all will accomplish So much more, whether it is in Spiritual, Civil, or just our day to day Accomplishments as part of the Families that God has placed us within, if we will just realize the significance of This Attitude towards ourselves and apply it to our thinking. I know that we would pray more effectual and more often for those who might not know how much We Need Them to help us fulfill Our desires to bring forth more fruit for the Lord. And might I also add, It takes a Whole lot more labor to have a good harvest than just Planting and Watering ; Somebody has to help Keep the Weeds Out ! We aren't much without Each Other brethren, and as Paul so apply stated it in verse 7, we surely aren't Any Thing without Him.
Lord bless you children
